Welcome to Bible Progress! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bible Progress mobile application ("App") operated by Bible Progress ("we," "our," or "us").

By using Bible Progress, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Bible Progress is a Bible reading tracker that helps you:

  • Create personal reading challenges with start and end dates
  • Track your progress through books and chapters
  • Create and join shared challenges with friends and family
  • View reading history and archived challenges

2. Account Registration

To use Bible Progress, you must:

  • Create an account with a valid email address
  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your password secure
  • Verify your email address to access full features

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
  • Upload harmful content or spam
  • Interfere with the App's operation
  • Use automated systems to access the App
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity

4. Shared Challenges

When participating in shared challenges:

  • You can see other participants' reading progress
  • Other participants can see your display name and progress
  • Challenge owners can remove participants
  • Shared challenges are limited to 10 participants
  • You can leave a shared challenge at any time

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create (challenge names, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a license to store and display this content as necessary to provide the service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Bible Progress app, including its design, features, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. The biblical text structure (book names, chapter counts) is in the public domain.

7. Account Termination

By You: You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Manage Account > Delete Account.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in harmful or abusive behavior
  • Have been inactive for an extended period (with notice)

8. Disclaimers

Bible Progress is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • That the App will meet all your requirements
  • The accuracy of any reading plans or progress calculations

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data or progress
  • Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us (which is $0 for the free app)

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bible Progress.
